PULTRUSION

PULLWINDING

A continuous process to get profiles with a constant cross-section. Unlike simple pultrusion, where the fibres run mainly lengthwise, the pullwinding system also allows for the fibres to be twisted along the circumference at specific angles to optimise mechanical strength for various applications.

The products that can be made in this manner range from full-carbon to hybrids, such as carbon/glass or carbon/Kevlar, with the possibility of adding webbing inserts to improve mechanical strength and performance, as well as the final look of the products.

The profiles have an epoxy silicon (E-glass) and vinyl ester matrix, giving the products the characteristic of being suitable for use in applications requiring a wide range of temperatures.
